211's Spring Gala An "Enchanting" Success

In its fourth year, the 211 HelpLine Spring Gala transformed the Four Seasons Resort into an enchanted forest complete with moving trees, dancing fairies and mystical surprises. Guests were invited to sip, dine and enjoy entertainment by international recording artist Alexander Star on Friday, March 9th from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The magical evening provided much needed funding for Palm Beach County’s only nonprofit crisis hotline and community helpline.

It was a breathtaking evening of dinner and dancing, delicious cocktails, live performances, sensory entertainment and much more. The gala, lived up to its promise to be the organization’s most successful to date, with 215 in attendance and exceeding their goal of $150,000. With the support from its committee, which has taken on many of Palm Beach society’s young up-and-coming notables, the gala has quickly become one of the most talked about events of the season.

Long-time Board Member and 211 HelpLine esteemed volunteer, John Deese, was honored at this year’s gala. Deese is the President of Guardians Credit Union and has been involved with the organization for nearly 40 years. His commitment to 211 is unrivaled and spans a variety of roles, starting with his volunteering with 211 in the 1970’s, to serving as the Chairman of the Board three separate times. Deese is the epitome of what volunteerism stands for and his recognition will be focused on the importance of volunteering in the community and the great things that can happen through collaboration and cooperation.
