Caregivers

211's Caregiver Project is available to caregivers who are 18 or older providing care to another adult family member. These adult caregivers can also care for children & young adults ages 0-22 years who have a disability. Call 2-1-1 to be connected to our caregiver program.

A caregiver- also referred to as an informal caregiver- is an unpaid individual that can be a spouse, partner, family member, friend, or neighbor who is involved in assisting others with activities of daily living and/or medical tasks.

A caregiver's role can be frustrating, satisfying, exhausting, joyful, thankless, and everything in between. We also know that the role of caregiver can also be stressful, isolating, and overwhelming.

Though we may not know the exact number of caregivers in our community, we do know that these individuals need to feel supported and connected, as they do this very important work.

If you or someone you know is feeling alone and isolated as a caregiver- you can also sign-up to receive a daily Sunshine call - a friendly “hello” to check in and see how your day us going! Click here to learn more…
