Additional Support Lines

211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast is part of a statewide program of 2-1-1 providers that is dedicated to helping Florida veterans.

Our state has the third largest veteran population in the nation with 1,755,680 veterans calling Florida home. 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast is working in conjunction with the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs and the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay to provide a helpline where veterans can receive both emotional support and linkages to community resources.

By calling the Florida Veterans Support Line at 1-844-MYFLVET (693-5838), or 2-1-1, veterans are able to talk with someone who can help them through the difficulties of transitioning back to civilian life. 

The program offers:

• Comprehensive information and referral to VA-funded services and hundreds of additional community-based services

•  Emotional support provided by trained professionals.

At a time when our first responders and their families, our Heroes, are dealing with professional and personal challenges that they haven’t faced before, the State of Florida and the Department of Child and Families are answering the call and collaborating with 211 Broward and 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast to launch Hero4Hero, a 24/7 confidential comprehensive peer support line. Dial 1-866-760-HERO or 2-1-1.

Hero4Hero serves current and former first responders, including 911 Dispatchers, Corrections/Detention Officers, Emergency Medical Technicians, Firefighters, Paramedics, Law Enforcement, and their families. The support line is staffed by former first responders (First Responder Peer Support Specialists) who are extensively trained to provide comprehensive peer support to other current and former first responders and their families.
