211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast Announces CEO Transition
Ty Barnes Appointed CEO of the Nonprofit Organization
PALM BEACH COUNTY, & TREASURE COAST, FL — (June 16, 2025) — 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast has announced a leadership transition, as longtime Chief Executive Officer and President Sharon L’Herrou steps down after 11 years of dedicated service. The organization’s Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Ty Barnes, current Chief Strategy Officer, as the incoming CEO. The leadership transition began on June 9, 2025.
Ty Barnes brings more than 25 years of business leadership experience within the communities served by 211 and a deep-rooted commitment to 211’s mission. He has served on the organization’s Board of Directors for over a decade and joined the senior leadership team in the past year, where he has played a pivotal role in advancing community initiatives and organizational development.

To ensure a smooth transition, Sharon will continue with 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast in a contractual advisory capacity, helping with strategic projects, including the construction of the organization’s new facility.
Ty and Sharon are moving forward together during this leadership transition to guarantee the continued success of 211’s mission and maintain the continuity that our community deserves and relies on.
Under Sharon’s leadership, 211 has significantly expanded its reach and services, strengthening its role as a vital lifeline for individuals and families across the region. As always, the organization remains dedicated to providing 24/7 access to mental health support, crisis response, and community resources.
