South Florida Suicide Prevention and Crisis Intervention Outreach Project Announced Supporting 211 Helpline

State Representative Mike Caruso of Boca Raton announces an appropriations bill supporting the 211 Palm Beach / Treasure Coast Helpline, to support people in crisis across the region.  The aim of the bill is to reduce the South Florida suicide rate through outreach and public awareness. In addition to the $500,000 request by Representative Caruso, Brightline will provide a local match to the 211 Helpline funding.  

The 211 Helpline spans South Florida, emphasizing mental health, suicide prevention, and homelessness by focusing on education, intervention and diversion. 

Funds will be used for development and placement of various media including awareness events, digital advertising and geo-fencing, PSA production and other activations.
