211 HelpLine Celebrates Volunteer Nat Price – Nat Turns 104 & Continues To Brighten the Lives of Local Housebound Seniors
April 18, 2019 Lantana- Nat Price is celebrating his 104th birthday at 211 along with his 16 years of volunteerism for 211’s Sunshine Daily Telephone Reassurance program.
Nat continues to make his way to the Lantana facility to make Sunshine calls to seniors who are anywhere from 20 to 30 years his junior…at one point a Sunshine client said “we should be calling you!” Nat just laughed at that.
“Not only does Nat volunteer to make calls for our program, he also volunteers for the Delray COP organization twice a week!” Karen Woodley Coordinator for 211’s Sunshine program and one of Nat’s number one fans.
Nat has won awards in the past for his service and enjoys sharing his story with the media.
“Nat Price is a role model for what healthy aging looks like” said Patrice Schroeder, Community Relations Specialist.
“We are happy to have him!”
