Thousands of families and individuals across the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast region are being impacted by the 2025 federal government shutdown. As always, 211 remains committed to helping people find the help they need during times of crisis.

Many of our community partners are offering resources for residents and federal workers who are facing the unexpected loss of income, frozen SNAP benefits, and other challenges. Below are a few places to find help:

Community Resources

  • Palm Beach County Food Finder Map (powered by United Way Palm Beach County)

  • Treasure Coast Food Bank Agency Locator (serving Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee & St. Lucie Counties)

  • SNAP Support Initiative: Bridging the Gap (United Against Poverty of Indian River County)
Beginning Monday, November 3, residents affected by the SNAP freeze are encouraged to visit the UP Center, located at 1400 27th Street in Vero Beach, to receive vouchers for the Member Share Grocery Program.

Vouchers will be distributed between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. daily, and residents may receive their vouchers during the week they would normally receive their SNAP benefits. This schedule helps ensure that families have access to food when they need it most.
