VITA Volunteer Opportunity – Help Working Families Succeed!
United Way of Palm Beach County is looking for volunteers to support the VITA Program during the 2022 tax season.
What is VITA?
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a national program staffed by local volunteers to provide free preparation and electronic filing of tax returns. It’s an important service to thousands of individuals and families in this county with low-to-moderate incomes who are eligible for tax credits.
What Can I Do as a VITA Volunteer?
You can make a difference in the lives of Palm Beach County residents. No experience is required and there are opportunities that don’t involve preparing taxes. We need volunteers to serve as:
Greeters
Tax Preparers
Site Coordinators
A commitment of four hours per week is required during tax season which is January 18 through April 18, 2022. There are 16 VITA sites located throughout Palm Beach County and we offer a flexible schedule including weekdays, evenings and weekends.
How Can I Get Started?
Go to www.unitedwaypbc.org/vita-recruitment to view the volunteer training schedule. All volunteers must be trained and certified. Next, download and complete the volunteer profile.
