🌟 I went into pediatrics because I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. During my third clinical rotation of medical school is when I decided that pediatrics was what I wanted to do. In my practice, I have become a better listener. Listening has helped me respond to the needs of the patient rather than just prescribing meds because I prefer to promote healthy eating, active living, adequate sleep, stress management, and ensuring vaccinations are current for health maintenance.

🌟 One thing that sets me apart is my ability to develop a real rapport with my patients, from birth to 18 years of age. I try not to judge and like to make my patients feel comfortable, so they can talk to me about anything. I feel it’s a real honor to have my patients come back to me as parents - trusting me with their own children.

🌟 A fun fact about me is that I like Zumba classes and staying active. I enjoy the joyful movement of dancing.

🌟 My advice to parents is to encourage a healthy lifestyle as medicine! Families should stay engaged and active with their children.
